Budapest Holocaust Memorial - II

OIL ON CANVAS - 2005, 120cm x 40cm (48in x 16in) - On the Danube in front of the Hungarian Parliament are 30 pairs of life-size shoes cast in bronze. It represents the approximate 10,000 Hungarian Jews who, having been stripped of their clothes and shoes were shot by Hungarian fascists; their bodies left to fall into the river.

Editions are Limited to 30 half size prints and 5 full size prints.
