OIL ON CANVAS - 2005, 100cm x 100cm (38in x 38in) - The central market in Budapest is an amazing building and although renovated from a recent fire, the metal framework is original. During the afternoon the sun pours in and it was early autumn when I went to sketch this picture, so the sun was particularly low. I painted the people semi transparent as they are flickering images with the market itself remaining the centre of attraction.
