Dreaming

OIL ON CANVAS - 2006 120cm x 80cm (48in x 32in) - This is a difficult picture to see on the computer screen so I'll explain it in a little detail. I have painted myself in the top left, lying on my side with a strong bedside light casting strong shadows across my face. I'm sleeping and dreaming of the nude girl who splits the picture in half, blue to the right of her, red/brown to the left. One side reality, one side in a dream. Perhaps though she is dreaming of me. I like the striking contrast of this picture, one of the few I kept from my time in Thailand.
