London Liverpool Street Station 2, OIL ON CANVAS - 2008 120 x 100cm
The second of 2 painting of Liverpool Street Station. I wanted to capture more of the movement, buzz and cold echo within the station. The 2 paintings are similar in composition although have quite a different feel.
In this version the only still person is a girl on the escalators, centre bottom. I like that she is moving and still the focus of calm.
Editions are Limited to 10 full size prints and 20 mid size. All are relief Geclee prints; that is printed on stretched canvas after which I paint on a thick acrylic coat that gives the painting a very realistic texture and depth.
